Have y’all ever made stuffing in a crockpot? I actually prefer it more and I make this every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas!
My favorite part is you can make the ingredients the day before and just pop it in the crockpot on the day of which saves you time on prepping for a big meal!
Fun fact, stuffing is one of my favorite holiday side dishes and there was none available at our Thanksgiving this year so naturally I felt compelled to make some for our own family dinner! So worth it!
Ingredients:
1 cup butter (can use vegan) 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp black pepper 2 tsp poultry seasoning 2 medium onions, diced, 2 cups celery, diced 6 cups dry white bread
6 cups dry brown bread*
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 tbsp total fresh rosemary, thyme, sage
2 cups chicken broth
2 eggs
Directions: in a large skillet on medium, add the butter and mixed. Once melted add in salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning, then stir in onions and celery mixture and cook until translucent. In a large bowl combine the bread cups, topping with the celery and onion mixture. Add in fresh herbs, chicken stock, and eggs. Mix until combined and cover overnight in the fridge 24 hrs. The beast day place it into the skew cooker on high for 30 minutes then low for 6 hrs. Enjoy!
