Fresh Herby Homemade Salsa

Y’all arnt you proud of my dad for participating in this 😂😂

He is KNOWN for his salsa so of course this was something I felt I had to share!

My dad is Hispanic, he is from Texas but spent a lot of his childhood in Central America. He does not have social media so I’m happy he was willing to participate with me!

He is the reason I love food today. He always encouraged us to try everything and tbh to this day I’ll pretty much eat anything!

Salsa is amazing with most foods and is nutrient packed with lycopene, antioxidants and polyphenols and flavor!

I like to put salsa with my taco meat, on my eggs, baked into tomato based dishes, as salad dressing, and of course with chips!

The benefit of homemade salsa is of course less preservatives and better (and custom) flavor.

Have you ever made homemade salsa? You’ll want to save this one!

Ingredients:
28oz canned whole peeled tomatoes (We used Cento Italian Style, you could also make your own)
1/2 white onion
6 garlic cloves
1-2 Serrano peppers (*your salsa will be hotter the next day so be aware of this)
1/4-1/2 cup cilantro
1 lime, juiced
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions: Blend all ingredients and adjust salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
