
I am 1000% making this for my extended families this holiday it does not disappoint!
My older child Jackson is obsessed with cinnamon rolls and so I was so excited to try this one out and it was soo tasty!
I used my previously reduced sugar banana bread (though we add sugar now with this cinnamon swirl).
This is a fun recipe to bake on occasion to have with breakfast, coffee, or dessert!
Banana Bread Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/3rd cup oil (we used olive oil)
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup milk
2 eggs, mixed
2 large bananas, mashed
Cinnamon swirl:
4 Tbsp butter (can use vegan butter here for reduced saturated fat)
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp cinnamon
Directions: Preheat oven to 325F. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Mix wet ingredients in a medium bowl. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and combine. Pour into a lined loaf pan. In a small bowl heat butter until liquid, add in sugar and cinnamon and mix. Top butter mixture over loaf. With a spatula make swirl motions through the loaf. Bake in the oven for 55-60 minutes until center is cooked through. Enjoy!
